About Me
I am a freelance writer whose services include copywriting, journalism, marketing communications and internal/external communications for digital and print formats.
I am passionate about educating, inspiring, motivating and enticing readers to action through my words—whether through a feature article, digital content or a direct mail piece.
My mother has a picture of me at age two holding a telephone receiver on my shoulder and a pad and pencil in each hand. Fortunately, I have been able to make a career of this. I create copy that helps clients achieve their professional goals.
My experience includes writing for newspapers and trade publications such as the Chicago Tribune, Wisconsin State Journal, Isthmus (a Madison, Wis. free weekly) and Credit Union Management magazine, in addition to creating marketing, internal and corporate communications copy.
My professional background includes employment at Tribune Media Services, SmithBucklin, the Center for Health Enhancement Systems Studies at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, The Art Institute of Chicago and the Credit Union Executives Society (CUES).
I am owner of Hudson Creative Copy, Chicago, Ill. and creator and facilitator of the “Reconnect Through Creative Journaling” workshop at Gilda’s Club, Chicago. I’ve completed journalism courses at Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism, Chicago, Ill. and have a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Let me help you reach your communications goals.
